My Fears As A Writer|ChandlerTheAmateurWriter

imageimage

Hello Everyone!
So I've been thinking about my goals for my book and something came to me.
I starting thinking about all the things that could go wrong with my book and career.
I know you're not suppose to think about negative things but I was curious.
What are some of my fears?
I feel if I share my fears as a writer, I will be able to overcome them.
Because admitting I have fears is a great step to overcoming them,
So here are some of my fears as a writer.

NO ONE WILL LIKE MY BOOK
I know everyone has this fear but I'm truly terrified about it.
I am very happy with my book but the idea of putting my book out there it nerve wrecking.
Imagine thousands of people telling you something you created was bad.
That is enough to make me hide in my room forever.

BECOMING TOO SUCCESSFUL
Just like not selling books. The idea of selling hundreds is terrifying.
Going from a nobody to a somebody in a matter of months is scary.
People will want autographs, everyone will be in your business. It would just be a mess.
Not saying I don't want my book to be successful but I'm just nervous about it going big.

NEVER BEING PLEASED
I always hear authors take about how they're never pleased with their books.
I don't want to write ten plus books and not be content with them.
That would truly be hell because I won't appreciate my book.

DOUBTING MYSELF
This is my main fear/biggest problem.
I have a lot of self doubt.
Sometimes it gets to the point where I don't want to continue writing.
A lot of people tell me how ridiculous it is but it's a serious fear.
Self doubt can stop you from writing a book altogether.
So I always try to motivate myself with Anne Rice's books.

But those are some of my main fears. I'm sure so many of you can relate to this.

I'll be back soon.

How I Got Rid Of Writer's Block|ChandlerTheAmateurWriter

imageimage

Hello Everyone!
This is a topic that we all share in common.
Writer's Block.
Writer's block is something that we all can get from time to time.
However it's also something that is very easy to get rid of.
I'm currently working on my first novel and I came to a point where I felt like I was stuck.
But I powered through it and I'm going to share some helpful tips on how I beat it.
So let's get started!

Tip #1

JUST WRITE
I know it's a common thing people say but it's true.
In order for you to get rid of writer's block you HAVE to write.
What you write down may not be good but at least you're getting something down.
And honestly that's the most important part.
You'd be surprised how powering through it can change your story for the better.
Just DO it.

Tip #2

KEEP A POSITIVE MIND
This is key to getting rid of writer's block.
Negative thoughts lead to negative actions.
So think positive and tell yourself that you can get through it.
Mind over matter people.
With possitivy on your mind you can accomplish anything.

Tip #3

CHANGE UP THE STORY
Maybe you're becoming bored with what you're writing.
Try introducing another character or make your character change their hair.
Add more excitement in your story.
When I got writer's block it was mainly because I was falling out of love with my main character.
So I made her do things out of the norm of what she does.
Not only will you get more ideas but you will also learn more from your character.
So give your characters more personality.

And now for my final tip...

Tip #4

DON'T GIVE UP
This goes without saying.
I've wanted to throw my hands up and quit plenty of times.
But I couldn't because the journey was only going to get harder and I wanted people to hear my story.
You have to find the drive within yourself to keep pushing forward.
It's not easy writing a book but if you put your mind to it then you can accomplish anything.
SO DON'T GIVE UP!
Even if things seem impossible.
Because when its all said and done, you will be proud of what you achieved.
I believe in you.

So those are my tips.
I hope they helped someone out there.
If it did please comment and tell me so.
I'll talk to your later.
Bye.

How Author's Begin Their Morning (My Morning Routine)

imageimage

Hey Guys!
I hope you all are doing well.
I just wanted to go over what I do in the morning before I start writing.
I find this routine to be very helpful and maybe you will too.
So let's get to it.

I usual wake up at around 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m..
Once I wake up I go straight to my dad's office and workout.
Depending on the day I workout between 20 to 45 minutes.
After that's done I head straight to the kitchen to grab some breakfast.

Then after a glass of ice coffee and a bottle of water I usually eat boiled eggs and toast.
Then comes the fun part...WRITING!
I grab my laptops and head in the room with my mom and I type away.

So yeah.
This is my morning ritual that I do every morning.
I try to keep things simple because that's what works for me.
I find that it's less stressful on me and I can still have a very productive day without being stressed.
So if I could recommend anything it would be to keep this simple.
There's not much that goes into a "writer's" day.
I know a lot of people who try to cram so many things into their daily routine.
That may work for you but more times than not it will discourage you.
And that's not what you want.
So remember to keep things simple and I'll talk with you in my next post.
Bye!

ABOUT ME

imageimage
Hello!
My name is Chandler.
I'm 19 years old.
And I live in a small town in Eastern North Carolina.
Since I was a little girl I always had a passion to write.
I would write short stories, poems, songs, diary entries, and much more.
I've been writing everyday for as long as I can remember.
I've believe writing is a gift and I was fortunate to be able to do it naturally.
I have always dreamed to be an author and I wanted the world to read my books.
As of January I have been writing a historical/gothic literature book series.
I'm a "self taught writer" without a degree to my name.
I want to show that you don't need a degree to write successful books.
You can be just as or even more successful than someone who has a degree.
I know how it feels for people to not take your writing seriously.
It sucks and I'm striving to help encourage anyone who is in the same boat as me.
Hopefully you all will stick around and join me on this long journey.
Thank you in advance.
So buckle up and put your safety goggles on.
It's going to be an intense and bumpy ride.
